Pi Kapp Hosts Cory Morrow

This a very special weekend here at Texas State as everyone gets ready for the big game. The Bobcats are taking on Texas Tech this Saturday September 8, 2012. Not to mention the big victory over The University of Houston (30-13) Texas Tech University better hope we do not “Wreck” them at Bobcat Stadium.

Not only is this a great weekend for Texas State but also for the Eta Rho chapter of Pi Kappa Phi. We are pleased to announce that we will be hosting a concert at Texas Music Theatre featuring country artist, Cory Morrow. Everyone come on out to tailgate with us, enjoy the game, and join us for s great concert in the evening. If interested in joining us in the VIP section, please contact any member from our EC.

Intramural Basketball

Last Wednesday February 8, 2012 Pi Kappa Phi defeated Pike in Intramural Basketball 43 to 30. Led by coach Logan Wilhide, the team is off to a great season. Congratulations to Jake Hagan, Keven Kandler, Ryan Ledet, Patrick Samuels, Chase Harris, James Wells, and Matt Rodriguez on your victory.

Initiation

For every fraternity man the end of a long semester means bringing new members into the brotherhood. For all the new guys, it means the end of pledgeship and finally becoming an initiated brother. This year on Founder’s Day, December 10, 2011 the Eta Rho Chapter was happy to initiate 10 new members into the brotherhood.

Congratulations to Chase Ricketts, Matt Rodriguez, Jeff Cuevas, Keven Kandler, Brett Rains, Ian Ivey-Davis, Taylor Nash, Garett Fisher, Chris Fales, and Cameron Rynd.

Senior Farewells

As this past semester came to an end for some us, it was the beginning of something new for others. In the last meeting of the year our graduating seniors gave their farewell speeches to the chapter. Many recalled their first year as associate members and laughed about about good times that the years had brought them. As each speech was told one thing remained common, joining Pi Kappa Phi was the best decision of their college career. For each brother leaving the memories and friendships that were made through the fraternity have no comparison. Although we will miss those leaving us, the bonds of brotherhood will not be forgotten. To David Sellars, Hector DeLeon , Lucas McBroom, Gabe Garcia, Raul Avalos, Will Schumann, Taylor Cotton, Austin Wells, and Van Blackman, Thank you for everything you’ve given to this chapter and Good Luck!

For the past year we have not had a working website and are extremely glad to start off the new year with this accomplishment.
